REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OF INTEREST (RFI)

The Department of Economic Development and Commerce (DEDC) seeks proposals of interest from companies and business owners who share a common vision and innovative ideas for the development of Mercantil Internacional Center (“CMI”) in Guaynabo, which should be oriented to an industrial operation, due to its location and the overall purpose of fulfilling DEDC’s development vision. The RFI’s requested are for but not limited to the following:

• Proposals to maximize the industrial potential and property development.
• Proposals for medical equipment sterilization facilities.
• Proposals for the installation of temperature-controlled warehouses for handling and distribution of refrigerated products.
• Proposals for the development of pharmaceutical industry facilities.
• Proposals for the development of agricultural biotechnology industry projects. 
• Proposals for the development of medical manufacturing devices facilities.

Notwithstanding, the DEDC is open to consider other kind of proposals for other purposes rather than the already mentioned.
As requested by the participants, DEDC may allow site visits for purposes of providing and overview of the Property Mercantil Internacional Center (“CMI”) for them to submit more detailed responses according to the needs and uses contemplated by the DEDC. Participants interested in a site visit should coordinate it through the RFI Coordinator’s email: rfiterrenoszona61@ddec.pr.gov. The subject of the email requesting a site visit must indicate: RFI- Opportunity of Development of Property for industrial purposes (CMI). The DEDC will not answer emails to another person rather than the RFI coordinator. The period for the site visits is November 7-9, 2022. 
Written questions may be submitted in advance to the RFI coordinator on or before October 7, 2022. DEDC will not evaluate incomplete responses of the interested parties. Parties interested in this RFI are invited to submit their responses by November 16, 2022, at 3:00 p.m.  No exceptions will be made. 

Proposals must be summited in accordance with RFI Guide, by email: rfiterrenoszona61@ddec.pr.gov, at or December 9, 2022.
DEDC will not evaluate incomplete proposals and reserves the right to accept or refuse all proposals in conflict with the best interests of DEDC. DEDC reserves its right to not execute a contract with any interested party. 

This project is funded 100% with state funds.
